The first managers of NEVLEC were Mr. Russel Tyson (General Manager), Mr. Lindolph Murray (Generation Manager) Mr. Cartwright Farrell (Transmission & Distribution Manager) and Ms. Maureen Webbe (Customer Service Manager).

The Power Station is located at Prospect Industrial Site and was built in 1983.
The first Wartsila Engine was commissioned in 2002.
In 2005, a new Billing and Accounting Systems was introduced.
Nevlec was awarded the HTA Nevis Award for Utility of the Year Award in 2010.
A new 3.85 MW Wartsila Generator was commissioned in 2017.
Generators 5 & 6 (Mirrlees Blackstone) are the two oldest generators in operation.

Mr. Erim Herbert is the first recipient of the Cedric A. Armbrister Scholarship. Mr. Jonathan Kelly was the first recipient of a Nevlec Scholarship.
The peak capacity at the Power Station is 9.83 MW while the generating capacity is 25.3 MW
Nevlec currently has 90 employees which comprises of 25 females and 65 males.
