Under the theme “Leveraging Technology and Process Innovation with Enhanced Procurement”: Solutions for a more Resilient Caribbean Power Sector CARILEC hosted a four-day (4 day) Engineering and Procurement Conference and Exhibition for the period of July 21st to July 25th, 2024, in St. Maarten. This conference and exhibition allowed participants to immerse themselves in the forefront of engineering innovation and experience the journey into the future of technology. Topics such as Power Sector Modelling and Planning, Smart and Resilient Power Grids, Clean and Efficient Power Generation, Pooled Procurement Initiatives, Supply Chain Management and Utility Requirements and more were discussed.

Our NEVLEC Team was comprised of three people, Ms. Shellon Hintzen; Consumer Services Supervisor, Ms. Sylvia Clarke; Stores Supervisor and Resean Maynard; Crew Chief. The participants were able to have hands-on experience with visionaries who are shaping and advancing the world of engineering and procurement. Additionally, their participation has equipped them with knowledge and exposure that can assist with propelling our company forward.
