20 Energy Leaders from 12 Countries were hosted by RMI, CARILEC, BELCO, and Bermuda to accelerate Renewable Energy in the area. A three-day fellowship summit was hosted for the period of March 27th to 30th 2023, by RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA) with assistance from the Caribbean Electricity Utility Services Cooperation (CARILEC), Bermuda Electric Light Company (BELCO), and the Government of Bermuda to support local capacity building and workforce development.

The Energy Transition Academy’s (ETA) mission is to equip energy professionals with the required skills to perform significant roles in global climate action as leaders of clean energy economies in the Global South. The ETA gives energy practitioners access to a global platform where they can find curated knowledge, tools, peer-to-peer problem-solving, and coaching networks. Mr. Nelson Stapleton, Transmission and Distribution Manager at the Nevis Electricity Company Ltd. (NEVLEC) attended the summit where he was able to obtain knowledge that will be beneficial to NEVLEC and Nevis on a whole. Congratulations Mr. Stapleton!!!
