On September 26th-27th, 2024, Mr. Nelson Stapleton; Transmission and Distribution Manager and Mr. Starett France; Planning Officer, traveled to Pereira, Colombia, to visit Magnetron’s transformer manufacturing facility. During their visit, they observed Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on various transformer units, including critical tests such as insulation resistance, turns ratio, winding resistance, and dielectric testing. These tests ensured that each transformer met NEVLEC’s strict technical requirements.

Beyond witnessing these tests, Nelson and Starett had the opportunity to engage with Magnetron’s technical team and observe their operational best practices. From meticulous production processes to advanced safety protocols and quality control measures, the visit provided invaluable insights into the methods Magnetron employs to maintain top-tier product standards. This exposure helped them identify areas for improvement in our own operations at NEVLEC and explore opportunities for future collaboration in training and process optimization.
