On 4th and 5th April 2023, three representatives from the Nevis Electricity Company Ltd. (NEVLEC) in the persons of Chief Engineer – Mr. Ian Ward, Project Manager – Mr. Naftalie Errar and Project Engineer – Mr. Ronell Pemberton attended the GEOBUILD: Geothermal Educational Drilling field trip in Dominica.

This trip was made possible through the collaboration of the OECS Commission and NEVLEC and was geared towards obtaining essential information needed to deliver successful drilling projects in the OECS region. The visit included preparation activities, public awareness and environmental safety tips. The tour was assisted by the Dominica Geothermal Development Company Ltd (DGDC).
As NEVLEC continues steadfastly on the path to Geothermal, we believe that exposure and experiences such as these, build knowledge, capacity and skillset.
