This year, the Nevis Youth Careers Expo (NYCE) turned 3, and of course team NEVLEC was present. The event was held on Friday 8th March 2024 at the Nevis Cultural Village from 9 am to 1 pm.

NEVLEC was ably represented by Mr. Geran Liburd, Crew Chief in the Transmission and Distribution Department, Mr. Livingstone Powell, Operator III at the Generation Department, Ms. Kristel Pemberton, Customer Service Supervisor at the Customer Service Department and Ms. Nakita Thibou, Corporate Communications Officer; Finance and Administration.

NYCE provides opportunities for school leavers to explore career options. The event also gives the students a chance to find their niche in a field and an industry that they are passionate about.

The NEVLEC booth displayed meters, electricity conservation tips brochures, careers listing flyers, bill templates and a wide range of tools used by our Linesmen.

We take this opportunity to commend and congratulate the organizing committee of this event and pledge our continued participation and support. It was indeed a great pleasure for NEVLEC to share the variety of jobs that exist across our four departments. We hope that some of these students will be encouraged to become a part of the Electricity Industry in the future.
